Thankful Thursday | Valleyview Alberta Photographer

I just finished Week 16 of my 365 days of gratitude project. Here are the things that I am thankful for this week:

Day 106 – I am thankful for homemade granola. Things just taste better when they are homemade

Day 107 – I am thankful for some fresh (homemade) bread and some hot-out-of-the-oven parmesan artichoke dip. Definitely a yummy treat!

Day 108 – I am thankful for some time spent capturing winter and all of it’s frosty, icy goodness.

Day 109 – I am thankful for walks on warm winter days. We’ve been having some really nice weather lately!

Day 110 – I am thankful for a subscription to this magazine (a Christmas gift). It’s one of my favourite photography magazines.

Day 111 – I am thankful for flavour… herbs, spices, and all the other yummy things that help make a dish delicious.

Day 112 – I am thankful for electricity. Without it, I wouldn’t even be able to write this post!

Week 15 of my 365 days of gratitude project was a special week. Not only did I reach 100 days of my 365 project, it was also one of the most wonderful times of the year… a time where you are surrounded by so much to be thankful for. My favourite part of the holiday season is spending time with family. There is nothing better than that!

Here are the things that I am thankful for in Week 15:

Day 99 – I am thankful for the excitement of Christmas Eve.

Day 100 – I am thankful to celebrate and enjoy the holiday season with family.

Day 101 – I am thankful for greetings that travelled many miles.

Day 102 – I am thankful for a new phone. With buttons that work

Day 103 – I am thankful for an afternoon ski. I am really enjoying my new skis!

Day 104 – I am thankful for partridge berries. They are tart, sweet and so delicious. I received a jar of partridge berry jam with a Christmas gift. I’ve been slathering it on toast and crepes… mmm!

Day 105 – I am thankful for these delectable treats! One of the many things from back east that I miss. Not sure why you can rarely find Caramel Log bars out here. Thanks to my Aunt H, I now have a stash of them that I can enjoy.

I just finished Week 14 of my 365 days of gratitude project. It’s never too late to join in on the fun. You can join in on the project at any time

Here are the things I am thankful for this week:

Day 92 – I am thankful for surprises and thoughtfulness. I am so lucky to have such great people in my life

Day 93 – I am thankful for creative adventures.

Day 94 – I am thankful for the feeling you get when you craft something handmade. It’s so great to see the finished project after doing little bit of hard work.

Day 95 – I am thankful for Christmas baking. Sugar cookies… delicious!

Day 96 – I am thankful for spending time outside in the moonlight. I couldn’t resist capturing the lunar eclipse

Day 97 – I am thankful for a hearty and delicious meal on a cold winters’s day.

Day 98 – I am thankful for whoopie pies. These are my favourite cookie that I have baked for Christmas. They are SO delicious!!!!!

Here are the things that I am thankful for in Week 13 of my 365 days of gratitude project:

Day 85 – I am thankful for my new quilt. It’s so warm and cozy. I love the colours of it too.

Day 86 – I am thankful for dresses… even if they aren’t my “go-to” piece of clothing. It’s nice to wear one once in awhile

Day 87 – I am thankful for this cat. She’s a torti-coloured cat and has quite the personality.

Day 88 – I am thankful to ski in the moonlight. My ski boots arrived and I took my new cross-country skis out for a test run. So much fun!

Day 89 – I am thankful for Christmas decorations. They add a little bit of the holiday spirit to the nooks and crannies of your house.

Day 90 – I am thankful for the glow of Christmas lights. I love the way they shine on the tree and how they illuminate the decorations.

Day 91 – I am thankful for the anticipation leading up the holiday season. So many things to look forward to — especially spending time with our friends and family.

Here are the things that I am thankful for in Week 12 of my 365 days of gratitude project:

Day 78 – I am thankful for Christmas celebrations. It helps get everyone in a festive mood.

Day 79 – I am thankful for my Secret Santa. Their thoughtful gifts really brightened my day

Day 80 – I am thankful for winter walks under blue skies. I love the way the sky contrasts with the starkness of the white snow.

Day 81 – I am thankful for warm wool socks on cold winter days.

Day 82 – I am thankful for my very first pair of cross-country skis. I can’t wait to try them out. It won’t be my first time on cross-country skis, but the last time I skied feels like a very, very long time ago.

Day 83 – I am thankful for gingerbread houses and the fun that you have when you decorate them. They also taste pretty good too.

Day 84 – I am thankful that someone saved this tree ornament. I made this when I was in kindergarten and it has made it through multiple moves across the country. It brings back so many great memories every year when I decorate my tree.
