love it! What a cool idea. I never even thought of using something like that. I like the shallow depth of field, it gives a real interesting twist to the photo.

liza

WOW! and again you take something so ordinary and turn it into something so beautiful! how cool to have a bunch of different macro utensils for culinary kitchen canvases??????? do it duguay! :)

so cool! I want to know what this is also. You guys rocked out the metal!!

Landscape…

Landscape photography was my first love in the realm of photography.  I am drawn to nature.  I still love to photograph it.  Seascapes, forests, fields, and….  one of my favourite places… the mountains.

I spent the weekend in the Rockies — enjoying the scenery and fresh mountain air.  I spent a little bit of time capturing the views around me, but I can never get enough.  I never get tired of gazing towards the towering peaks.  I could stare at the Rockies all. day. long.

Travel with me to visit Kimberlee Edwards Photography to see her interpretation of this week’s theme.

Jenn, this is simply beautiful. I LOVE this shot – a perfect postcard. The b&w processing is perfect and it truly makes me want to be in that place. I too love the mountain peaks, nature and just being outside in the fresh air. I would love to visit this place for sure. thanks for sharing.

this is beautiful and looks like a postcard. i love the b&w processing and the perspective of the Rockies off in the horizon – perfect. i hope to visit one day and this photo makes me hope it is sooner rather than later.

Ahhhh beautiful Jenn! I love your processing here – the B&W is perfect for this shot.

Beautiful Jenn. Were you in Jasper? You had a nice warm week to venture out west.

I love this. What a pristine scene! The mountains (and even the snow) make me homesick. I hope you had a wonderful time!

I’m with you as far as the beauty of the Rockies. We spent some time out there several years ago and I’d go back in the heat beat! Your shot is amazing and a reason to make me long to hop on the next plane headed west!

Beautiful Jenn! I love the colour and the warmth in the middle of winter!

liza

this is stunning, really and truly. the color and texture here are fabulous, along with the sort of hang in there weariness of winter that the image conveys!

I love this Jenn! Absolutely love the warm feeling that it has and love seeing the details in the flower. Just gorgeous!

Fifty-Two on Friday | Valleyview Alberta Photographer

Welcome to the 2012 edition of Fifty-Two on Friday!!!:) I love doing this project so much and I’m so excited to be continuing it into 2012.  And, to mix it up a bit, we have a brand new group of talented photographers from all over the world.  There’s a few familiar names and so many new photographers that I can’t wait to get to know.

Want a little refresher on what this project is all about?  It’s a 52 week project where we are inspired to shoot creatively based on a different theme each week.  With over 20 photographers participating this week, you will see so many fabulous takes on this week’s theme!  You won’t want to miss out!

New… the perfect theme to start off a new year.  The holiday season brought time spent with family, adventures outside, a little bit of travelling… and some new toys…  this was one of them.

I’m thinking I should have bought two…  It’s so cute that I’d love one for myself;)

Travel with me to the east coast of Canada to visit the talented and amazing Faye Kingston, Miramichi, NB Photographer to see her take on this week’s theme.

That is so cute! I would want one for myself too!

love this little camera, now I want one for my 4 year old, she would love it! I like how the background complements the vintage camera.

cute little camera, my 4 year old would love it, perhaps this will keep her from trying to play with my DSLR. I love how the simple background brings out the camera.

I think I used to own a camera that looked like when I was a kid! Thanks for bringing back some great memories! I think your lighting does a lot to enhance the shot.

Tammy Bilodeau
