Day 285 – I am thankful for a summery treat.

Day 286 – I am thankful for lens flare…  love it!

Macro Monday | Valleyview Alberta Photographer

It’s week 26 of my macro project 52 and the theme is “Texture.”

Every year I look forward to peonies in bloom.  I love the texture of their ruffly petals and their smell is just beautiful.  Those peonies were my inspiration for todays photo.

Fifty-Two on Friday | Valleyview Alberta Photographer

Happy Friday!!!  It’s week 24 of our Fifty-Two on Friday Project and our theme is “Family.”

This week has been stormy…  downpours of rain, rumbles of thunder, flashes of lighting, mixed with a bit of hail.  There were a few lovely days though.  So, on one of those, we captured ourselves together…  as a family.  This is something we make sure to do every single month.  At least one photo of us all together.  If there are more, that’s a fantastic bonus:) These photos are something we will always treasure…  as a family.

When looking for some inspiration this week, I came across this quote:

“The family is one of nature’s masterpieces.”
~ George Santayana

I couldn’t agree more.  A family is the most amazing thing.  The way it happens, the way it grows.  There is nothing more beautiful.  I am beyond thankful for my family.

Next, travel with me to visit talented Chippewa Valley Photographer, Amanda Jouppi, to see her interpretation of this week’s theme.

wacky weather! i cant believe that hail!

Um what do you have for rain gear? I could’ve used it yesterday. Shot a wedding (10 hours) and spent 8 of it trying to stay dry. lol.

Rain gear for my camera :) I have the Kata bags rain gear that’s for my camera model. It is bulky, but it does keep the rain off!

Tell me about the fishing trip in the rain! How fun. These are all great!

Macro Monday | Valleyview Alberta Photographer

This is week 25 of my macro project 52.  Our theme this week was “Your Choice.”  So, I decided to take my camera outside…

It’s been raining almost non-stop.  Everything is lush and green… and covered in drops of water.
