Day 192 – I am thankful for roasted peaches…  so yummy!

Day 193 – I am thankful for afternoon artwork.

Day 194 – I am thankful for music while I edit.  Latest favourite…  Lissie.

Day 195 – I am thankful for that it is warm enough outside that I don’t have to wear a winter coat!

Anticipation…  the excitement….  waiting for a family member to arrive!  The L Family is growing and their newest family member will be here soon.

Pregnancy is such a beautiful time and it’s so fantastic to capture it behind the lens.  Here are some of my favourites from our session:

My World, Your World | Valleyview Alberta Photographer

It’s month 3 of our “My World, Your World” project.  This month’s theme is silence, something that can be interpreted in so many different ways.

My interpretation was very literal…  I choose to photograph my phone  in “silent mode.”

Next, travel with me to sunny Florida to visit Susan Nawyn of Suna Photography and see her interpretation of this month’s theme.  And, don’t forget to check out the 4 The Love of Focus blog to see our finished diptych showcasing both of our images together!

I’m laughing because you have too many unread emails! haha.

Fifty-Two on Friday | Valleyview Alberta Photographer

It’s Friday!  This week’s theme is colour and if you are a parent, you probably have a lot of colour in your home.  Toys, books, art supplies…  most things related to children are so full of colour.

This week, I wanted to photograph something that had many colours and I was drawn to these well-loved crayons.  The crayons make scribbles, lines, and all sorts of artwork.  These crayon creations are given as gifts, posted on the fridge, and sometimes I find them in the most unexpected places (especially when paper wasn’t the medium of choice).

There is something about colour, especially when there is lots of it, that gives you happiness.  Even when the colour is from something as simple as crayons.

Next, travel with me to visit the amazing and talented Chicago Photographer, Angie Papalas and find out her interpretation of this week’s theme.

I know it’s a bit silly and I’m meant to comment on the colour but I love the little fuzzies you can see on the paper

I too love crayons. But I certainly love your view on them. Just look at the detail in the crayon and in the paper. Awesome shot.

Oh yeah! Awesome. Gotta be a macro!?

Oh Jenn..every week, I LOVE you photo, but this one may be favorite. I LOVE it!

Wow, love the detail in this.

Love, love this! My youngest loves to color so I’m always admiring all the crayons in the box!

Awesome macro!

this is gorgeous, i love the macro here and your perspective!

I didn’t know that crayons had so much detail, and I have them all over my house! ;) Great work! Very nice job with the color theme!

Great shot! Love the color, processing and comp. Awesome!!!

I love the detail in this photo!

Awesome shot! Me too was thinking of crayons when you think of colors. A+ :)

oh I love that you got the texture of the paper on the crayon!

love this shot! its perfect for the theme and i love all the texture you captured.

they certainly make me happy, especially the way you shot them, they look well loved :-) and great colorful bokeh <3

I also love the way created such a different point of view on such a commonly seen subject. The colors are of course fantastic but the texture of the paper and the smooth used texture of the crayon is just beautiful!
