Secret Santa | Valleyview Alberta Photographer

On Friday, I received a fabulous surprise in the mail!  It was a present from my “Secret Santa”!

Just a little while ago, I joined in on a Secret Santa gift exchange with members of the Etsy Alberta Street Team.  Each participating member sent a gift to someone.  Some people revealed their indentity, but some people remained anonymous.  My Santa’s identity is still unknown.  So – whoever you are out there…  thank you so much for all of the lovely goodies and for all of the thoughtful little notes you wrote on each gift:)

My present included a bunch of great things…  handmade pottery, globe thistle seed pods (which Santa thought would be great to photograph and I couldn’t agree more), the book “Sweetsmoke” by David Fuller (there was note on it saying it was a great read and I will be digging into it once I finish this post — it looks really interesting) and a set of 24 notecards that are colourful and funky.

Here are some pics of the lovely goodies:

Thankful Thursday | Valleyview Alberta Photographer

I just finished Week 11 of my 365 days of gratitude project.  Here are the things that I am thankful for this week:

Day 71 – I am thankful for the way snow adorns branches in the winter.  I think it looks so pretty:)

Day 72 – I am thankful for something bright to contrast all of the white and grey outside.

Day 73 – I am thankful for tomato and cheese sandwiches on homemade bread.

Day 74 – I am thankful for postage stamps.  I am ready to put my Christmas cards in the mail!

Day 75 – I am thankful for a package filled with these beauties.  They are so gorgeous.  To see more lovely items check out Splurge’s Etsy Shop.

Day 76 – I am thankful for a little treat.  Reminds me of summer too…  tasty and refreshing.

Day 77 – I am thankful to enjoy my supper by candlelight.  We had no electricity for most of the day and into the evening.  Enjoying your supper by candlelight is nothing to complain about and definitely a positive thing about power outages.  I’m also thankful for the workers who came and fixed the problem so we can enjoy (and be thankful for) a cozy, warm house!
